THE STATE OF THE BIOSCIENCES IN NEBRASKA
This sector represents high impact to economic growth. Nationally, employment increased by 15.8 percent between 2001 and 2008, compared with a 3.5 percent increase in employment in the overall private sector. On average, employees in the biosciences sector earn higher wages than other industries. The Roadmap was a partnership between the Nebraska Legislature Natural Resources Committee and Bio Nebraska and represents a five-year strategy to grow the bioscience industry in our state.
